As the Twin Cities built out a new transit system, The Big Picture Project [2012] sought to center communities of color needs and priorities in the development of affordable hosuing in the area surrounding the transit system, especially in neighborhoods home to large Black and immigrant populations. The Central Corridor Affordable Housing Coordinated Plan includes a mix of preservation of existing housing, and new construction, all meant to meet affordable housing targets in each neighborhood.
