“All For One” Summit hosted by Allegheny County Health Department

December 4

Conferences

$35 - $150

The Allegheny County Health Department’s Maternal & Child Health Program, in collaboration with the Allegheny County Infant Mortality Collaborative, invites attendees to participate in a one-day think-tank platform around infant mortality. The All-for-One Summit is an inaugural event to engage citizens and providers in transforming our response to reducing racial disparities. We selected a diverse set of talented speakers that will frame the discussion and bring their own perspectives and expertise. Participants can expect to learn, share, and connect with others from across the region, and beyond.

The All-for-One summit aims to:

  • Build a culture that works collectively to ensure that every baby has a successful first year of life
  • Re-frame the conversation around infant mortality, to focus on the social determinants of health, health inequities, and the impact of racism on pregnancy and infant outcomes
  • Influence a shift in traditional thinking, from the “us” verses “them”—by promoting women as decision-makers for their equitable health care
  • Encourage individuals to use what they learn at the summit to advocate for change

The Summit will also highlight talented artists from the Pittsburgh community in efforts to intentionally elevate assets in our communities.

Our featured speakers are:

Camara Phyllis Jones, former president of the American Public Health AssociationMiriam Zoila Perez, queer Cuban-American activist and author of “The Radical Doula”
