Housing, Land and Development Repository

Portland’s Housing Bureau uses a set of Guiding Principles of Equity and Social Justice to implement a five year Racial Equity Road Map.  The roadmap was developed with support from the city’s Office of Equity and Human Rights alongside 26 other bureaus developing their racial equity plans.

The road map’s objective is to “ensure racial equity for Communities of Color in city-supported service and housing programs and will reduce disparities experienced by Communities of Color in program access and outcomes.” It includes five overarching goals for community engagement, contracting, culture, equitable services, and workforce.
