Kiahna obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Public Health from Johns Hopkins University in 2020. Through her experiences, she became fascinated by how sociological factors, particularly at the community level, impact health and overall well-being and how systemic racism predestines specific populations to ill physical and mental health. Before GARE, she lent her Public Health background to broadening the impact of local non-profit Baltimore Green Space. As Program Manager, she advised strategic planning efforts and guided the organization to view its work from a Public Health perspective. She is excited to bring her Public Health lens to support the mission of GARE and Race Forward as GARE Network Engagement Coordinator!
