
The Department of Equity & Inclusion upholds and reaffirms the City’s position and commitment to equal employment opportunity, and assists in creating and maintaining an inclusive workforce that is free from discrimination, harassment, and retaliation.
It assists department heads in setting and achieving equity and inclusion goals specifically in recruiting, hiring, promoting, and retaining qualified employees. In compliance with federal law, the Office prepares and submits workforce reports on a biennial basis to the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC).
