You are cordially invited to save the dates of November 1-2, 2023, for Governing for Racial Justice, the GARE Membership Convening happening online.
This is a unique opportunity for all GARE member jurisdictions and practitioners, regardless of your level of experience. Join this event to:
- Witness and showcase government efforts to combat systemic racism and address the structures, policies, and practices that contribute to disparities and inequities
- Fostering relationships, collaboration, and partnership across federal, state, and local levels of government with community and other stakeholders
- Share best practices and strategies for advancing racial justice through dialogue, learning, and action on key issues
- Organize racial equity practitioners in government with the knowledge and resources to advance racial equity in their spheres of influence
This is a two-day online event that will bring together racial equity practitioners, government officials, policymakers, researchers, advocates, and community-based leaders. Tickets will cost $250.
This year's convening will feature a keynote speaker, plenary, and breakout sessions on topics and themes related to racial equity work in government. There will also be opportunities for peer-to-peer connections and networking opportunities.
