In collaboration with the Florida League of Cities, we are pleased to offer a two-day “Race, Equity and Leadership” workshop on October 13th and 14th. This free (to FLC members) program is designed for teams of 3 to 10 individuals from city government. Teams will learn concrete skills that will advance racial equity in their communities.
We all are aware that race and racial issues have been in the headlines. Only through intentional strategies, designed and implemented with urgency and focus, will we be able to work together to achieve racial equity. This two-day workshop, led by Glenn Harris, President of the Center for Social Inclusion, and Julie Nelson, Senior Vice-President of CSI and Director of the Government Alliance on Race and Equity, will empower your team to develop and implement such strategies.
You’ll learn how to:
· Assess policies and practices from a racial equity perspective
· Develop a plan for advancing racial equity
· Continue to strengthen your efforts and your team.
Please do not hesitate to contact Scott C. Paine, Leadership Development & Education Director for the Florida League of Cities, firstname.lastname@example.org, 813-300-1912, if you have any questions or need assistance related to this exciting program.
